In this month's video motovotional, we are stripped down with some real advice and straight talk about fogiveness.
It's astonishing to see how many guys are walking around with the self-inflicted wound called - "unforgiveness".
Let's look at what scripture has to say about how a man's heart is affected by how he sees himself.
The scripture comes from 1 John 3:21
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God (NIV)
John is advising us is to pay attention the the completion of forgiveness if we want to walk free.
Too often we ask God to forgive those mistakes and messes we make - while stopping short of forgiving ourselves.
So instead of receving the freedom of forgiveness, we walk away from our prayer and drag our chains along with us.
What father wants to see his child continue to labor over a mistake which he has long forgotten? None.
God is like this - but better. He wants us to live free, but we have a role to play. We must let go of those things which make us feel "less than" forgiven.
When we forgive ourselves from the burden, we admit our imperfection.
Forgiving ourselves means we are willing to open our heart to God's work instead of trying to repair our hearts on our own.
MAPPING YOUR JOURNEY: (FOR STUDY OR GROUPS)
- Confession is a pathway to forgiveness because it pulls us out of hiding. What are you carrying?
- Have you ever felt ashamed of going against God or others? Has this shame ever felt like a trap?
- Do you have the courage to forgive someone who has wronged you? It can set you free.
Look for a new VIDEO MOTOVOTION each month!

I'm not asking for a bogus review... but a real one. 1 star or 5 stars... it's your call. Each rating and review helps other guys understand what they will get inside. Naturally... if you have a poor experience, contact support first... maybe your issues can be quickly resolved!
Drop a comment below and let us know you are here. Then engage in the comments and the prayer wall.
The goal is to have the daily encouragement posted and ready to go live by Midnight Central U.S. Time. Don't worry about starting at Day #1... just pick up and keep up. Each day corresponds to the day of the year. Leave a comment or a prayer for the countless men scrolling and reading. This is your way of joining the ministry effort.
As always... the app is 100% free for life. It's work, man... but it's joy filled labor.
