109/365: Your Worries Were Nailed to a Cross

From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).  ~ Matthew 27: 45-46

Friday was heavy for our Saviour.

Jesus' act of selfless suffering made our fear and worry winnable.  Some days I feel as if my sins are what held him to the cross instead of those iron nails. What about you?

As darkness descended over the cross, Christ remained a lone candle, lighting the way for us.

We lift our hearts to heaven and joyfully say, "thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

Jesus paid the price, so you can be free! It IS a good Friday!
