I too speak the negative too often. I am not sure why i slide there so easily. Especially when i am tired and hungry. I have been trying to start my day with thanking God for 3 things. I want to magnify the good. Focus on the blessing and that pushes down my flesh. Gal. 5:16

Confession time - I have to work hard to use positive words. I was taught as a young man that life was more about what I shouldn’t do rather than what I should do. It’s taken some time re-wire that mindset - but if not careful, my words can veer back to those early days. Jesus brings life and simplicity.

DAY 148: Every Word Matters

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. ~ Colossians 4:6

The words you use say more about your heart than your thoughts. Every word matters when showing others the light of Christ.

Be gracious.  Use  your conversations as an opportunity to build up the people you are with.  No matter the topic or the passion - choose your words in such a way that God has room to enter.

What kind of words do you tend to use?
