Heavenly Father, we approach Your throne of provision, You supply all of our needs, if we are prosperous, may it bring glory and honor to Your Almighty Name. Father, we submit ourselves to You, You Lord are our treasure, You are the finest selection, and nothing can compare to the life You have breathed into our souls. Father we desperately need Your discipline and wisdom to live a life worthy of the sacrifice Christ made for our sins. Amen.

Loving God, we come to You today to thank You for the riches You flood us with. The richness of having a relationship with Jesus. The richness of having a family to love. The richness of brothers in Christ. The richness of the honor of sharing Your Word. I’m rich beyond my wildest dreams, all because of You Father. Praying in the name of the greatest prize, Jesus Christ. Amen

DAY 121: Money Doesn't Own You

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.  ~ 1 Timothy 6:10

Money and possessions are the second most referenced topic in the Bible and debt is never described as a positive thing. But it is a part of everything we do.

So take note, money isn't the root of evil... it's the LOVE of money which is the root.  In the same way - the lack of money is not the root of all worries, either. It's the LUST for money you don't have which causes anxiety, worry, and grief.

Live within your means and hang on to extra funds so you can bless others who are in need.  This will give you control over your household and rob evil of it's leverage.

May God continue to be your first pursuit as you work to "turn the soil by the sweat of your brow" each day.
