Exactly what I needed to read today! First day using this app, and it hit what I am struggling with the most. God knew!

my world was a mess and my family was almost lost to my unpure actions ranging from my laptop to my choice of entertainment. Once confronted/caught in my actions I was close to losing all I held dear. I committed myself to Christ soon after and turned from darkness to light just like in Acts. I dusted off my Bible (which at one point in my life I thought was not God's word but word of man trying to control others) and read about David and found hope and kept reading and meditating and very soon realized that I was reading God's living word and that I was loved and most important I was forgiven

Heavenly Father, I consider it a complete joy, to rest in Your grace, to seek Your approval, to find Your favor, and live a life worthy of the sacrifice Christ made for my sins. Father, I have struggled with the sin of lust, and feel confident that You have removed this secret sin from my body. Father, I want to give You the glory for rewiring my mind, Honor You with my renewed heart, and seek You with my restored soul. Praise God, Amen.

DAY 118: Purity Is a Decision

One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her.  ~ 2 Samuel 11:2-3

Darkness creeps in through a man's eyes when he allows a glance to linger and turn into a gaze. King David fell into a long cycle of trouble when he fixed his eyes in the wrong direction.

There is a big difference between a glance and a gaze.  We can't stop the world from flashing sex at us every day. But we can choose where to direct our eyes.

Today, don't be discouraged - glances of sexuality will happen.  However, it will be up to you not to gaze and open the door to lust. The decision is yours... and yours alone.  Stay Pure one glance at a time.
