It's all about priorities, and sometimes while chasing the earthly things my eyes wonder away from my God, which I have to confess is idolatry. Also, I find that sometimes, I'm chasing just because I think I want/need more, which shows that I'm not trusting God. Thanks for the devo, helps to keep the proper perspective. Eyes forward, focused on my savior!

Wonderous God, Lord of All, we come to You today to thank You for being sufficient for us. Father, You give us so much, and yet we want more. More stuff to complicate our lives. Let us stay focused on You, and all Your glory and realize You are sufficient for us. All of our worldly things just distract us from You. Keep us focused on the Cross and all that Jesus did for us. The rest is all secondary. Praying in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Amen, Kenny. God nudges us and places reminders throughout our day. When we seek Him, we find Him - every single time! He is so faithful... it’s just incredible.

Normally I am awake at 4:30. Today, I stirred awake earlier and prayed. I began to think about my purpose and wondered if I have given myself completely to Jesus. After reading this morning's Daily Starter I smiled. Thanks for reaching out to me God.

DAY 115: What Do You Seek?

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
~ 2 Peter 1: 3

What portion of your work or idle time is spent trying to get more of something?  More money, more food, more status, more stuff?

Chasing these earthly things isn't wrong, but it can leave you empty. God is clear about wanting our focus to be on Him, first.

"God owns all the cattle on all the hills", yet He is crazy about you and your eternity and cherishes your attention.

Honor Him first today with your work, your pursuits, and your desires.  After that, you'll begin to see your needs and your contentment fall into place.
