All I can think to say is thank you Jesus! It's not enough for what He did for me, but I can't help but say it over and over again. Thank you!

What can we really say, but “Thank you God” for giving us a light to follow out of the dark places and messes we make.

"Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow." Especially today, remember the sacrifice, and the love that it reveals.

Heavenly Father, we humbly approach Your throne today, recognizing that Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death. Jesus made the attoning sacrifice for all of our sins. without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sin. Father my prayers for my brothers and I, that we consider it our joy whenever we are faced with trials, that we develop perseverance, gain maturity, and wisdom. That we are quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. that we look, study, and live Your message with intent that is pleasing and honorable to You Lord. Amen.

DAY 89: Light Conquers Dark

From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).  ~ Matthew 27: 45-46

Have you ever been so beaten down by your troubles that you chose to give in to it?  Jesus knows your pain.

As darkness descended over the cross, Jesus remained a lone candle, held up to light the way of hope.

Every word of hope delivered through these daily devotions hangs on the cross with Jesus. Today, we pause and cry out to God in our own way.

Our cries, however, are different. We cry out to God to joyfully say "thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"  Jesus' act of selfless suffering made our trouble winnable.

Name one trouble Jesus' hope has won for you lately. Lift a voice of gratitude today.
