Heavenly Father, You are always Gracious and Merciful. Fill our hearts and minds with Your words, that we encourage each other, build each other up, and sometimes stand each other up, that we are surrounded by men who love Jesus Christ, wanting to please You Lord not men. May our hearts and minds be focused on Christ living in us, so that when He appears, we will appear with Him in glory. May every conversation we have today be fruitful, and every action be worship and praise for all You have done for us, sanctification and redemption of our sins. Amen.

brothers, this morning I'm making a huge step in the right direction for this, I'm getting baptised in about two hours. I pray for each of you, that we may all walk in the right direction with the right people.

Living a life for our Lord is not always easy. We falter and fall, but by God's great love for each of us, by the blood shed for us by Jesus, we are forgiven, cleansed, restored and strengthened to rise up again and grow stronger. Maybe for many Christian men it's two steps forward and one step back, but stay tuned to your compass God and his Word. He will continue to work in your heart and life. We need to do our part. One way is to cut out hanging with those who help you to take that one step back each time. Seek wise counsel, find your strength in Christ by spending time with wise men who build you up in Jesus, to make wise choices, then you might be a blessing and a helpful to other men who (like all of us) need God in our lives to be the men we were created to be. I pray this for myself and all who seek this message today. Amen.

DAY 84: Wise Guys

Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.
~Proverbs 13:20

The guys you choose to hang around, actually does matter.  The old saying, "you become the company you keep" is true.

Make the effort to spend time with guys who make you a better man.  Choose to spend time with guys who count on you to help make them better men.

Wisdom is meant to be received and given. Do both.
