Amen. In the world we're living in it is very easy to withold mercy, and think it is okay. Remember that God shows his children mercy on a daily basis. I pray that God gives me the ability to give mercy half as good as he can.

Precious and Giving Father, we come to You today to thank You for the endless mercies You pour out on us. Everyday, new blessing and mercies from You. You are such a giving Father. We are so blessed to have You. Let us extend Your love to others by showing mercy and Your love to them. Empower us to show others the Love You have blessed us with. Let us pass on mercy to those that are in need, and brighten their day. Praying in the name of giving and mercy, Jesus Christ. Amen

DAY 67: Why Show Mercy?

"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy."
- Jesus Christ, as recorded in Matthew 5: 7

The ultimate act of mercy was demonstrated by Jesus Christ as his adversaries hammered nails into his hands.

Without His sacrifice, our lives would have been doomed to darkness and despair.  But we aren't doomed.

As we walk through life, redeemed by mercy, we are taught to show the same mercy.  It's our acts of love and mercy which reminds us of God's mercy toward us.

Make a habit of showing mercy so you can be reminded of God's mercy toward you.
