This is always the first place to look when coaching up a Christian brother. A simple question - “Have you forgiven yourself for what God has already forgiven?” It’s also the top obstacle in battling addictions to lust. Keep this promise of God nearby. It’s a game changer for me as well. 👍

Mighty God, we come to You today to thank You for forgiving our sins. Heavenly Father, You know all, and yet You completely forgive and forget our sins. Our sins are so far removed from us, and we want to keep bringing them up. As You have taught us to forgive others, we also need to forgive ourself. You are so awesome, thank You for being in our lives! In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Praise God, I receive this message and I will store it in my heart and keep it fresh in my mind as a daily reminder that I'm forgiven.

I believe that I am obaying the scripture when I forgive myself. By doing this I am laying aside the weight and sin that hinders and interferes with my race that I run for Christ. wether I, or they deserve it or not, I chose to forgive

That is what I struggle with the most. When I repeatedly sin knowing it is against Him, I feel guilty and unworthy. This reminds me His grace is everlasting. Sin was yesterday and today is new. I pray to you Lord that I am given the strength to move passed these sins. I love you Lord. In His name, Amen.

DAY 30: Get Over That Unforgiven Feeling

He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.  Psalm 103: 10-12

We men often attempt to power through our sin. We try to fix our brokenness, sometimes in secret. Even after asking God to forgive us , we tend to grab the sin and drag it back into our life simply by skipping one critical step... we don't forgive ourselves.

Brother, if God has cast your sin as far as the east is from the west... then so should you.  Stop dwelling on your mistakes. Stop believing you aren't good enough to receive God's forgiveness. Stop hanging on to your sins.  If you truly want to move on... you MUST leave those things at the altar.  You must forgive yourself.

God forigves you.  Now forgive yourself.  Open the door to mend your fences.
