Greg, you are so right. I have found that if I start my day on my knees with Jesus, then I can stand up to anything. I also take quick breaks throughout the day to refocus. it took years to get it down but it works.

So true Erik! It’s a daily discipline that hopefully stacks up and creates a mindfulness in the midst of those hard moments. Whittet, this tool helps keep me from taking detours into that “worry zone”.

I needed this last week. I knew I was going to face a storm at work, it was going to get busy but it's not like I havent done it before. I was stressed. This will go in my tool box to prepare for upcoming storms. Great Reminder!

I can tell you now it's going to take more than 30 minutes. I've been working on it for 30 years

DAY 28: Exchange Your Worry for Peace

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  John 14:27

We are not made to be at war with ourselves. The enemy wishes to keep us bent, twisted, stressed, and out of focus with our walk with God.

Jesus paints a different picture with his very words. "Don't be troubled. Don't be afraid. Take my peace".  In other words... "settle down, man. It's going to be okay. Chill out."

Your challenge today is to find 30 minutes to sit down, take a deep breath, exhale the stress and worries and pray over today's verse until it sinks into your soul.
