Living Father, we come to You today to thank You for giving us jobs and Your continual provisions. As we toil at our work, let us bring You to our workplace and share Your glories. Let us treat the president of the company and the janitor with the same respect and share Your love with all. As we go through our day, let us be a walking billboard for You. Praying along on the name of Jesus. Amen

Hi everyone! I just signed up. This hit very close to home as I was recently laid off from a job i was under qualified for. I just got a job at a local grocery store and have been embarrassed to tell people about that... I felt the Holy Spirit reach me today to calm my soul. I am thankful for what the Lord has provided me, and not bitter today. I hope everyone has great day!

Father Lord in heaven thank you for our jobs and thank you that you provide what we need when we need it. I heard it said that a bird doesn't sit on the end of a branch and wait for a worm to fall out of the sky. He has to go hunt for it, but he knows it will be out there. He knows you will provide. Father bless our jobs today and bring light into our workplaces. Help us to be the light of the world and salt of the earth. Help us to represent Christ today and be blessing to someone who needs it. In Jesus name Amen

As a therapist I can bless and serve directly other people. But not only through my therapy, that would be not enough. If my patients know, that I know Christ, I can be a much much greater blessing. A good word at the right time, and a prayer in need can even save lives, much more than therapy does.

DAY 25: Happy With Your Job

A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God.   ~ Ecclesiastes 2:24

"Work" is good. It's the one clear thing given to men by God. Work should serve as a means to honor God with our skills and talents. It should exhaust us and bring us joy.

Our work brings us food and provision.  It brings contentment as long as "work" isn't the only reason to get up in the morning.

What you do for a living doesn't define you.  God defines you and gives you the ability to work for a living.

Keep it straight.  - work is a gift from God... it's not our "god".  Use your opportunity to work as a way to bring Christ into the scene.
