Was talking with my 9 year old homeschooled daughter about bullies the other day and how to deal with those situations. This was a perfect follow up, thanks!

I’ve been shot at, jumped, beaten, robbed, and spat on for most of my life. And all though those times were hard to go through I found comfort in revenge. It was easy to deal with at the time because I thought I was in control of their fate. But being a man of God now I know better then that. And the point of this story is that it is far more “Gangster” more tough, and take more of a man to chose grace over revenge! When people look at Christian men as Bible thumbing weaklings it makes me laugh because there is no tougher man then a man of God!

It is never easy to repay evil with grace. Father we ask that You guide us in this. Focus our thoughts on You and Your love for us. Who knows the things that person has faced? You do, and you show grace in all things. We love You and praise You. Amen.

Living and Loving Father, we come to You today humbly asking that You let us stay on the narrow path when we are faced with trials and attacks on us. As evil steps into our lives, let us meet it with the love of Jesus, no matter what the circumstances are. Let us remember that vengeance is Yours, not ours. Many times it’s hard not to lash out, but let us think of what You would do on this circumstance. Praying for a heart like Jesus. Amen

Amen.. this is a really good word for today ..you know I feel like every single day I'm under attack by something ..somewhere.. somehow.. someway.. I know that evil is always lurking waiting to knock me off of this narrow path that I'm traveling as I'm trying to draw near and closer to God.. like I just know for sure that I cannot seek out revenge or you know do wrong to anyone no matter what they do to me I've been taught to turn the other cheek and I thank God for his word.. I thank God for the insight on this matter because before my life changed I used to always take vengeance into my hands and want to pay back those people who have wronged me.. today I leave it in the hands of God.. I think that's where it's best kept ..I pray that everyone else will be able to lay it all down for our Lord and Saviour it's in Jesus Christ name that I pray Amen

My wife was with a narcissist before me and she gets mad thinking he is out there doing the same thing to others sometimes she can’t handle it. I try to reminder her that God will get even. He will repay, it’s hard to let go.

Hallelujah! It is often easy at times for me to stoop to the level of evil when I'm approached by it. Still a work in progress. Then I start to realize through Christ, is it really worth losing my peace by allowing this person or situation to rent space in my head? And then I get to thinking of how far from the grace of GOD I've been in my own life. How my evil choices have effect His children before I excepted the call. So with prayer and sheer faith, I respond to it in that light. Remembering how love drew me into Him and not hate.

DAY 299: Dealing With Those Attacking You

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.   ~ Romans 12:17

So you took a sucker punch?  Blindsided by that comment?  Stabbed in the back by your co-worker? That low-life broke into your life and stole your peace?

How will you respond?

Repaying those people who wronged you by doing the same to them doesn't make you better, it makes you worse.

We should expect evil to treat us poorly.  It's what evil does.  God-driven men never stoop to the low level of evil.  We get back up, we rise up, and we demonstrate God's love and hope while becoming examples of Christ for our neighbors to follow.

Are you dealing with someone who seems to be on the attack?
