When life guards see a rather larger person drowning in a frantic they are taught special tactics on how to handle that type of situation. Because if the life guard immediately grabs hold of the victim they could potentially end up drowning the life guard as well. So they are taught to keep their distance until the victim is loosing strength and is on the border of drowning. Because only then will they be willing to corporate enough to let their life be saved. And that’s how God works sometimes. Us men are hard headed (frantic) and God is just waiting for us to surrender our pride and our stubbornness and let him in. And sometimes that takes us loosing everything. But only through our lord of lords my brothers can we truly be saved.

Heavenly Father, we come to You today to thank You for Your grace, forgiveness, and the peace that comes from it. We fight surrendering to You Father, but once we do we allow more of You, and less of us. Guide us to nail all our worries and excess baggage on the Cross, and give it to You. Let us totally surrender to You, and just work to give glory to You. Love You Jesus. Amen.

What a fitting word for today. It took for me to lose everything, before I was able to completely surrender to GOD. It is truly hard to see those who I know are on that course I was, to sit by and watch as they lose it all as well. All I can do is pray and ask GOD to guide them because that process is what we all have to go Through to experience our own faith building with the LORD.

DAY 293: Giving your worries to God

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  ~ John 14:6
Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.  ~ Matthew 16:24

The hard truth about following Christ is that we have to get to the end of ourselves before we can see Him fully alive in us -- and that doesn't come easy.

There is no perfect Christian, just believers who open their hands, release their grip, and allow God to take what doesn't belong and give back what isn't deserved - grace and forgiveness.

Some of us go to the ground kicking and screaming, while others queitly surrender. Both find life. Both find hope. If you are grinding it out right now, put your junk on the cross, and give it to God - and receive peace. (What does that look like? Ask.)

If you are living free and growing daily, be on the search for those around you who need to hear about God's grace. Pray for God to lead you to their doorstep.  It's how we make it -- how we thrive!
