This is one of my top 5 favorite verses of all time. We often times need to renew our focus. I have lost sight of God's hand in my life in the past. In times of trouble when He seems far away it is easy to let the things of this world steal our focus. I went through a rough 2016 and God used that very difficult time to humble me and learn to seek Him more deeply. I know all the areas of my life belong to Him, but at times the old man tries to wrestle control back. This verse right here is my go to when those moments arise. Praise God for His immeasurable power, love mercy and grace!

Dear Father, thank you for these daily inspirations from Your Word, and the message that comes with them. What a blessing they are to me! Thank you Father, that You give us the answer, the purpose and the plan. Help me to love others without reserve, just as You love me. Amen. It made such a difference in my Christian walk to realise that, when I come across people whose actions/ lifestyle/ politics/ views/ anger etc I find distasteful, I do not have to agree or approve, but I do have to love. And I choose to love everyone I encounter, and it has made such a massively positive impact on my relationship with my God and those I come across. We do not condone the wicked, and as men of God we need to be strong, step up to the plate, speak the truth, do what is right and be bold. But in all, we are commanded to love others, even those we disagree strongly with. This love in Christ is the first step in purpose.

I agree Greg! Purpose is what men strive most for. And time and time again we pray and pray for the answer. But we often forget to listen. God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit constantly. And the more we focus in on Him the louder and more clear He becomes. And not in audio form but emotionally. We all start off as ponds in life. But we become stagnant and comfortable in that rank and forget that God wants to Anoint us and promote us to be closer to him. Thank you Jesus! Thank you! All glory to Him up high!

Loving God, we come to You today to thank You for correcting our vision. Many times it’s like we are wearing glasses that aren’t right. We can’t seem to stay focused on the true prize from Jesus. We need to keep the prize in focus and press forward to the cross. Let us always love You, and love others. Praying in the name of Jesus. Amen

Most common question received from guys = “what is my purpose?” This verse is top of the list as guidance. It’s between God and you. PRO TIP: Be careful of seeking advice about your purpose from anyone who isn’t following Christ.

This is exactly what I needed to here today. I find it so easy to get distracted chasing things of the world

DAY 291: Staying Focused on Your Faith

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.  ~ Romans 12:2

Keep your eyes on the prize!  When your focus remains on God and living in the boundaries of His instruction, it becomes much easier to see the contrast between His ways and the world's ways.

If you've ever wondered what God's will for your life might be, practice this discipline: Seek to Love Him and Love others with rabid tenacity.  It will keep you from chasing the world into dead-ends and help you make the right decisions for the long haul.

As you go about your day loving God and loving others, God's call for your life will come into focus. Get the order correct... it does matter.
