Loving Father, we come to You today to thank You for the fire You put in us. Let us kindle the fire daily, and throughout the day by service to You and reading Your Word. Let that fire within us manifest itself by sharing Your love with others, and sharing the kingdom with others. Let everything we do bring glory to Your glorious name. Praying in the name of our savior, Jesus Christ! Amen.

Amen.. thank you Jesus. I realized every single day that I must live within the day I cannot go into the future and I must not dwell on the past having this mindset allows me to experience God's precious presence with me throughout the day.. I fearlessly and vigorously find ways to keep the flame burning to maintain my fire for Christ by praying consistently and always looking for opportunities to serve others and show love to my brothers and sisters .. I thank you Heavenly Father for guiding me I pray that you would do the same for all my brothers who read these devotionals and keep us uplifted by you're spirit. .. it's in Jesus mighty name we pray..Amen

It truly is a single day’s worth of effort. If we look too far ahead, the importance of the moment gets watered down. Keeping momentum is as easy as focusing more on the next play instead of the final score.

Amen and well put! I think it is all our desire as men who read and partake of this devotion, continue to keep our fire burning for Christ. Just to take the step to put what we read into action is huge. Pray and service when added to the mix only enhance us going forward strongly. It is a blessing to realize that such men do exist, such men are taking the call to action. And such men are working towards being that example one day at a time. GOD Bless

DAY 285: Keeping Your Spiritual Fire Burning

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  ~ Romans 12: 11-12

Left unfueld, enthusiasm cools down to fondness, which then fades into indifference and finally burns out with absence.

Our faith life can go through hot and cold cycles if we don't tend the fire. Have you experienced this lately?

The solution is to continue fueling your fire by adding prayer and service to your study time.

A quick devotion is great to start the fire, but prayer and serving others is what keeps it burning.
