Praise be to God, our Lord, and Creator of all! my cup is worn, dented, dinged, with the handle twisted, and a few small holes on the bottom. I praise you father that you smile when you fill this cup, my life, with your spirit each day. I praise you that you' very never asked me for a life that is perfect or pretty. you have simple said to me what you said to the first disciples when they asked you where you stay. I know with all my heart you were smiling with a broken heart when you said, "come and see." may we all continue to "come and see" so that we can see you for who you are and see ourselves for who we are. may I love you and sell out to you today! Amen.

DAY 283: Getting Your Thoughts Together

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.  ~ Romans 8:6

God makes a steady point in scripture, directing us to get our minds right. No matter if you see the glass as half empty or half full... the point is to remember that it's God's spirit which should fill our cup.

When we get that right, we find peace and a pretty cool life.

So, get a grip on your thoughts and fill your cup with His spirit.  Look for God in the world and you'll find Him. Everywhere and in every situation.
