this is something I have struggled with for years and still do. when I quit drinking back in 2008 I didn't really lose any friends but found that I was just in a different place in life. it's been almost 9 years since that happened and I still really haven't learned to be sociable without a drink in my hand. I've been tired of going through life alone for quite some time and need to find a way out of my shell.

Amen... in my past I would always think that I could do it all alone I didn't need anybody else I was tired of being hurt I was tired of being cast out persecuted I could no longer take the pain. it was very hard for me to forgive but I thank God that he change my heart and he changed my mind and I know today that it is so much better having a community of loving believers to support you I am so blessed and that aspect.. once again God always knows better than I do what is good for me!! thank you Jesus for always looking out for me for doing for me what I could never do for myself.

WOW, this speaks volumes to me. as I go through personal hardship, I know it is important to lean on others. This will be a goal of mine once I have reestablished a church family. I praise God for his guidance and strength

DAY 265: Group Up

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.   ~ Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Christianity is a community event - we are designed to travel in packs.  Do you have a small group of friends you can count on?  If not, why?  Are you waiting on someone to ask?  Don't wait!  Start the fire, be the one who gets the group together.

Left alone, we are easy targets - no matter how strong you may feel.  Grouping up not only helps you grow as a Christian, it helps others.
