261/365: Inviting The Hard Truth

PSALM 51: For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.  ~ Psalm 51: 1-2

Nathan was a close friend and advisor to David. He spoke the hard truth in the hardest of times.

As men of God, we are better when inviting a "Nathan" into our lives. While it hurts to hear the truth, it can put us on our knees before almighty God.

Who is your "nathan"?  Who is speaking truth in your life, even when you don't want to hear it?  If you don't have a "Nathan", you should ask God for them to show up in your life.

You will build a stronger, more consistent faith with Nathan in your life.
