I come back to this text and devotion every few days, and the power and peace that comes through its simple but essential message for every man of God our Father. I come back also to the well-worded prayers of the men who posted in response to it. They are an inspiration. Lord Jesus, Father God, empty me of all that offends you and fill this clay vessel with the overwhelming power and peace of your Spirit, for my sake and all those I encounter, to your glory.

Amen.. Thank you Heavenly Father for just all of your incredible ways!! Still on today I Surrender once again I ask that you would just empty out all of these defects of character everything within my sinful nature that stands between you and I.. I asked that it just be emptied out right now and I asked that you just fill me up with more of you Our Father.. less of me and more of you is my heart's desire!! I ask Father that you begin to overflow in my life ..your presence would take over my life ..right now father I ask that you just cleanse me from all impurities ..everything that's not like you must go right now in the name of Jesus!!! Father to take on your spirit is what I desire.. to be closer to you is what I long for .. please Lord have your way in our lives..clean up this broken vessel and claim us as your own. Lord you're mighty and able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think so we give it to you right now Jesus ..thanking you for the restoration.. thanking you for the change.. thanking you for filling us up with more of you and emptying us out from our selves... in Jesus Christ Mighty name we pray Amen!!

Loving God we come to You today asking that You empty us out. Take all the vile, evil, sinful things from us, and empty this vessel out. Let us totally surrender to You so that You can clean us. Fill us with Your love, and the peace that only comes from You. Let the love You fill us with spill out so others can see the love in us. Let others see the love and understanding coming from us and see Your glory in all we do. Praying in the name of love, Jesus Christ. Amen.

DAY 254: Filling Your Vessel With the Strong Stuff

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.  ~ 2 Corinthians 4:7

May the victor of the physical battle go to the man who prepares himself to be stronger, faster, and equipped to endure with stamina.  While on top for a little while, his vessel is only strengthed from the outside... he has a shelf life.

May the victor of the spiritual battle go to the man who empties himself of anger, venom, selfishness, pride, and doubt. Becoming empty and fragile, God fills him with peace, wisdom, determination, focus, nobility, and honor. The man is strengthed from the inside...he endures.

Empty the toxins. Fill your clay-jar-life with God's pure truth so you can win the day - and give God the credit.
