Father God, we come to you today to thank You for the saints you have placed in our lives. We all are blessed by those that helped us on our faith journeys. Empower us to help others on their journeys also. We are all children in our knowledge of You Father. As we strive to learn more, let us bring others on our quest for being closer to you. Praying in Jesus's name. Amen.

Amen. I have an awesome group of older, (seasoned) brothers in Christ who I meet with weekly. They share their insights of faith with me to help guide me on my course. In turn I am able to share this with the few young people God has placed in my life. I am truly thankful and humbled to have such awesome responsibility and opportunities to share the gospel.

DAY 249: Building Christian Maturity

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
~ 1 Corinthians 13: 11

If we want to win at faith and life, then our faith must grow from infancy to maturity.  We must let go of childish thinking as we rely less on our understanding and rely more on God's truth and promises.

As we grow and mature as Christians, we should never dismiss the young Christian. Rather, exercise patience and help them mature with wisdom, mentoring, and coaching.

Success comes when we reach forward to learn from a teacher while reaching back to teach a new Christian.  Who is teaching you? Who are you teaching?
