Gods Word is so faithful to fulfill all of our needs. As I read today's devotional the fact that His kingdom cannot be shaken speaks to my heart. In the midst of so much sickness, disease, catastrophes and turmoil within our country and with other nations and countries I am so comforted KNOWING that He has a plan in all of it. Sin has certainly damaged this world but we are as pilgrims passing through so as we worship our Father today let us also remember that we are expressing that "He is worthy to be praised"!

Thank you for this very well timed devotional. very much needed. "turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His Go Iry and Grace."

"Overflowing of gratitude" is a good way to put it! The Lord has been good to me and my family. Provided our needs and been there to guide us through hard times. And when I can enjoy a day in nature, my heart overflows with joy, thankful that the Lord given me the opportunity to take in the wonders of his works. Hallelujah!

I am walking in Yorkshire and the sun is out. I am led to look in awe at his beautiful creation and sing for joy....ten thousand reasons...praying that whilst we are a tiny speck on the landscape we have a great God who looks out for us and loves us all individually. Amen

DAY 246: Opening Up For Worship

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”   ~ Hebrews 12:28-29

Worship isn't something you attend. Instead, worship is the state of your soul. Whether in a field, on a boat, in the woods, in a church, or at the altar of the Lord... worship is the attitude of our heart toward God.

Think of worship like this:  joy.  thankfulness. awe. reverence.

These are the things which move us to worship.  Some guys sing. Some guys raise their hands. Some guys pray. Some guys just stare into creation. Some guys focus on their thoughts.

Worship comes in many flavors... originating from an overflowing of gratitude for what God has done in our life.

Just imagine how powerful God's presence can be when we worship together.
