Ever since I have focused more on my relationship with Christ, my life has improved. Let us be candles in the darkness for everyone to see.

God is so good! Every time I share my testimony I always have to give reference to God!! for I know he has brought me a mighty long way he's helped me to overcome so many addictions ,so many obstacles, so many fears ,so much pain and I know for sure that there is no human power that could have restored me and brought me this new life that I'm living today. so what I do is glorify and edify God and lift him up and give it all to him because I know that it was nothing that I did. I've been in so many near-death experiences, it's only God who could have saved me. Once I am done telling my testimony to any individual I meet, anyone who I've known for a long time or anyone in general they immediately began to glorify God and lift him up and give him praise! so I'm so thankful that he's working it out in my favor and I'm telling the world about his greatness!!

How true, and Dale you said spot on. This reminds me of a time when I was giving testimony to a group at our church, and to make a long story short, my pastor pulled me aside and after telling me what an awesome testimony I gave, he said that I referenced myself more than I did with the glory of god. He told me that the testimony was more about me than the lord. he proceeded to remind me of the Pharisees that would go and spread the word in their colorful robes and fine jewelry, show their status above spreading the praises of God. We must be humble when we share, and put god on the soapbox and let everyone through him and because of him, we become the men of Christ that we are..

Amazing Father, we come to You today to thank You for being such an AWESOME God. It's impossible for us to over exaggerate how great Your love for us is. Unlike a fish story, Your blessings for us grow every day. Let us share Your glory with all we meet. Keep us focused on You, and what our mission is. Bring more to the glory of Your kingdom. Let all we do bring honor to You. Praying in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Not only keeping the camera on God, but making sure the lens is left wide open!...we need as much of His guidance in our lives as possible. Pray unceasingly...

Selfie-mode; ha love it. Its such a part of our culture these days. We need eyes to see God in the everyday so that we are bold to talk about Him

DAY 243: Keeping God In Focus

but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.   ~ Jeremiah 9:24

It's a safe bet, if a guy is telling a story, the "fish" gets larger each time he tells it!  We love to paint ourselves as the hero, right?

Sometimes we intend no harm, but it's easy to turn the camera on "selfie-mode" when we really aren't the sole author of our successes.

When it comes to living the Christian life, we should keep the camera pointed toward God. So our good deeds, riches, kindness, and effort tell the story of our relationship with Christ as the provider.

Listen to your stories to make sure you hear them honoring God for all the great things he has done.  Keep your focus on God first.
