Amen!! Thank you Lord!! I'm trying my very best to stay rooted in the word I know that it is the only way to live this life and to draw closer to God besides prayer of course. it is definitely a battle that I'm trying my hardest to do what's right reading devotionals everyday.. picking up the Bible spontaneously.. going to multiple church services. .. and so much more. I desire to be closer to my Lord and Savior my soul's on fire to learn more of him in to be pleasing in his sight no I'm not perfect but I will continue to give it my best shot and I know staying in the word is a major part of that

Glorious Loving Father, Ed come to You today to thank You for giving us the tools to get closer to You. You have given us the Word to learn Your ways, and as a guide for our life. You give us access to You through prayer, so we can communicate with You. You give us Christian brothers to show us how to stay on the path and to share our burdens and struggles. All of this helps us to repeal Satan's fiery darts. As Satan attacks, let us hurl them back as him through Your Word, and the strength You give us. You give, and give, and give! Thank you Jesus. Amen

Hallelujah! This is my true and only desire to get closer to God by spending time in his word. So it can equip me to do the great and awesome things as His body.

DAY 237: A Plan For Winning Your Battles

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  ~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Reaching the goals of purity, confidence, and discovering who God made you to be requires training.

The day we say, "yes" to Christ is only the beginning of our journey. Just as the disciples eagerly committed to learning the teachings of Christ, we should do the same if we expect to follow God.

Invest in knowing God's word. Sink it into your soul. Allow it to shape you into a more powerful and effective man of God. Get equipped so you can win the battles.

Take the devotion one step further. Ask God to reveal what it means to live it.
