Precious Father, Lord of Love, we come to You today to thank You for the model of Love You give us. You pour Your love out on us everyday. Let us take that love into our hearts and forgive those that we have arguments, petty grudges against, or anger toward. Let us love others as You have loved us. Life is too short to hold bitterness in our hearts. Life can end in the blink of an eye, so empower us to heal relationships with others. Praying in the name of the one that forgives us, Jesus Christ. Amen.

DAY 229: Cleaning Up The Grudges

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.
~ Philippians 2:5

The bulk of the old testament is an attempt to teach us how to be on good terms with God and love Him. While a majority of the new testament is dedicated to teaching us how to be on good terms with others and love them.

Life is far to valuable to waste on anger or grudges held against someone you care about. There is nothing "Christ-like" in living at odds with people.

Perhaps today is the day you restore a few broken relationships. Make the moment about them instead of you.

Start by making a list of those people on your "grudge list". Pray for them every day for a week. Then reach out and work toward restoration or closure - God will lead the way.
