Amen..im very thankful Lord for your grace and mercy. Everyday is a battle for me to control what comes out of my mouth. I pray Lord Father that you would strengthen me in this area..please remove all strife and resentment from my heart so that i may be better equipped to serve you as well as my fellows. I ask these things in the sweet mighty and majestic name of Jesus Christ Amen

Gracious Father, we come to You today to thank You for the example You are to us. As we go through our day, allow Your grace and love to show in us. As we speak, let it be an example of You. Let our actions be an example of helping others. Let nobody thing vile come from our mouths. Let only good come from us. Empower us to act like Jesus with skin on. People will look to us as examples of a Christian. Let us be a good example. Praying in the name of the one that was the perfect example, Jesus Christ. Amen.

DAY 217: Using Your Mouth to Bless Others

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.  ~ Proverbs 4:23-24

Your life will play out based on the contents of your heart.

Be careful that you don't harbor guilt, shame, anger, vengence, jealousy, lust, or any other form of man-made trainwrecks.  Those things will impact and shape your language. They will twist you up and make life harder than it has to be.

Every day, fill your heart with God's grace and allow it pour from your mouth. Keep your trajectory heading toward God.

Today, your challenge is to:

  • Stop right now and speak to God about 3 things for which you are grateful.
  • Pray about any grudge you hold in your heart for anyone - past or present.
  • Tell someone you care about that you love them.
