Encourage the young men to be self-controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. ~ Titus 2: 6-8
Each generation is been shaped by the things we see and experience. Rarely are words the motivator of young men, but actions and behavior are strong influencers.
As children, we emulate what we see and pick up on what is shown to us. Many young boys and young men adopt the behaviors of the people and influences in their lives.
As we stand before our community as men of faith, it's our duty to "show" what integrity looks like. To demonstrate our beleifs through consistent actions.
To make an impact, you need to learn from other believers who are more mature than you, and you need to mentor believers who are younger than you. Both of which should be emulating Christ.
Who are you following? And who are you leading?
