Hey Dave! The #1 way to introduce people to God is to let them see Him in you. Your words, your actions, habits, ethic. And when you speak of victories, verbally give God the credit for the blessings and skills. This is the heart of sharing the gospel. It's your story with God in it. There are no formulas, scripts, pamphlets. Just be yourself and begin this honoring of God in your life. It will knock you down with the amount of people asking for more. Be honest about what you don't know. Be confident I what you do know. These are the tools... you and your experience. This how people grow... through stories of those around us. Don't get locked into a "formula" for being a Christian. God built you to be unique and to give Him glory through your own authentic life. Cool start?

I've always had a problem talking to others about God. I don't want to offend them and push them away, sometimes I don't know enough what I'm talking about so I don't want to sound stupid or make God sound stupid. This is something you want me to do, give me tools and help me to do it.

Eternal and Glorious Father, we come to You today thankful that You "caught" us in Your net! We are so blessed by You. Let us cast out our own nets to bring others to the glory of the kingdom. Let us show others what a blessing it is to have You in our heart. Let us not be a flopping fish out of water, but a living testimony to Your love and grace. Praying in the name of the great fisherman, Jesus Christ! Amen.

DAY 208: Go Fish

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.  “Come, follow me,”Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”   ~ Mark 1: 16-17

Just as Jesus called His disciples to start the march... he's calling you to keep it going. The net has been passed from generation to generation and now rests in your hands.

Will you cast your net today?  Will you be the living representative of Christ in this world... today?  You will never be perfect. You will never know all the answers.  All you have to do is throw the net.

Don't try to fish like anyone else... be yourself.   Fish your way.... just throw the net, man.
