Glorious Father, we come to the throne of grace today to thank You for all Your love. Father, we do love You with our heart, mind, and souls! Father help us to live our neighbor as well. At times we make this hard, but if we will just extend your love to others we too will be blessed. Help us Father to reach out, and get out of our comfort zones. Praying in the name of love, Jesus Christ! Amen.

DAY 203: Two Basic Requirements of God

One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:  “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
~ Matthew 22: 35-40

Becoming a steady man of God really only requires two basic disciplines. Love God. Love others.  And if you really want to love God... there is only ONE thing necessary -- love others sacrificially.

Today, you know what you need to do. Give up a small piece of your light so that someone else may live a little brighter. You just have to take the next step and do it.

Love others by serving them with your time, talents, gifts, resources, and attention. Leave room in your day, today, so you can give someone else a helping hand.
