Father God, Thank you for your unfailing love for me. It is a love that the human mind cannot comprehend. Please use me as a vessel to pour out Your love to others. I thank you for the life of Jesus as an example of how to love. And please forgive me as I allow my own sinful, human nature to stand in the way of showing Your love to others. Please help me to apply Your teachings to my life so that I can help develop my love into Godly love for others. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Lord God I love You with my whole being and pray that everyday You continue to lift me up to be the lamp in someone else's life. It is in Your name I pray. Amen

Heavenly Father, I humbly approach Your throne of love, patience, kindness, and compassion, that You have showed me many times. Father fill me with the peace and love of Christ, that I may display Your love to someone, needing a small opening of light, seed planted, breath of fresh air. Father, may the Holy Spirit fill me, and speak for me, that I may be wise in every word and action toward those You want me to come into contact with, may I display Your love and grace to them. Lord, set my heart, soul, and mind on Heavenly thoughts, praising Christ seated at the right hand of Your throne, and for all that Christ accomplished to save me from all my sin. Amen.

DAY 203: Two Basic Requirements from God

One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:  “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
~ Matthew 22: 35-40

Becoming a steady man of God really only requires two basic disciplines. Love God. Love others.  And if you really want to love God... there is only ONE thing necessary -- love others sacrificially.

Today, you know what you need to do. Give up a small piece of your light so that someone else may live a little brighter. You just have to take the next step and do it.

Are you ready? Get to it!
