Dearest Heavenly Father, We thank you today for the gracious blessings you have bestowed upon us. We pray that we would take joy in what we have, for you are the Great Provider. Guard our hearts from this world, as we are IN the world, but not OF the world. Please allow us to serve others with what we have and not have the greed of wanting more. You are all we need. May we focus on Your face and do Your will with what you have given us. May our hearts take satisfaction in You. Amen

Loving God, we come to You today to thank You for the abundance You pour out on us every day. Father, keep me grounded in You and not craving more and more. You provide for our needs, help us to quit pursuing our wants. Every day with You is a blessing, keep us focused on accepting You are sufficient for us. Praying in the name of Jesus. Amen

Heavenly Father, I humbly approach Your throne of grace. I desperately need Your forgiveness, instruction, and discipline. Father search the dark corners of my soul and expose the areas that do not honor You, and bring them into the light, so that I may be of service. remove from any critical and judgemental thoughts, and replace them with the love and grace You want me to display. Amen.

DAY 200: Winning the Money Game

“Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”  ~ (Jesus Christ) Luke 12:15

The official definition of greed is "a selfish desire for more than what is needed."  We can be greedy with our money, our time, and what we already have.

Volumes of books are stuffed with stories of men who tried to earn their way to happiness and failed.  Countless men have died miserable and alone because of their idols called "career" and "money".

Where is the bulk of your worry and time spent? Ask God to show you where greed may be hiding in your life and ask His spirit to show you the abundance he is already providing you.

He will begin to order your priorities, and show you how to fulfill your needs AND bless others.
