Heavenly Father, Almighty and Merciful, I humbly approach Your throne of grace. Father I lay all my character defects and attributes at Your feet. asking to have them separated to serve You and others in love. discard these defects in my character that do not display Your love. peel them off and replace them with honor, love, respect, and harmony. as I study daily Your Word, may it dwell deep in my heart and Your words replace mine, Your actions replace my selfish nature, Your hope replace my habits. Father, may I express a life of gratitude for all that Christ accomplished to save us from our death and darkness. may I live in the light today, and walk with Jesus and be wrapped in His arms of protection. Amen. Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”1 Cor 15:33

I know what you mean Jordan. Sitting on my porch looking across the road at 35 acres of corn. These quiet times are the best way to appreciate God. Blessings to you.

starting my day with quiet prayer time, I find that my thoughts and words throughout the day seem to be more aligned with God. when I rush and miss this vital prayer time, I almost am playing catch up all day, slipping more often.

DAY 196: Making A Difference

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.  ~ Matthew 12: 35

Our thoughts lead to our words. Our words lead to our actions. Our actions lead to our habits. Our habits form our character.

Dwell on hope, joy, and generosity. It will flow out of your life and the  people around you will notice and reflect your joy back to you.

We are drawn to joy... it's a signature of God's love.

Strive to be a man others wish to be near.  Start by training your thoughts on God's grace, then listen to how your words change.
