Heavenly Father, I humbly approach Your throne of grace. I am broken, busted into pieces, only You can restore me, build me in to the man You can use in Your service. Father begin the process of restoring my mind, rebuilding my faith, and reconciliation with You. Amen.

Loving God, we come to You today to thank You for keeping us from thinking we can hide anything from You. Father, You know our hearts and what we truly have on them. Cover our hearts with Your pure love, and let others see Your love in us. Always let us act toward others speaking life, and Your glory. Praying in the name of love, Jesus Christ. Amen.

DAY 194: Appearances Can Be Deceiving

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.  ~ 1 Samuel 16:7

A fancy church building doesn't mean there are perfect people inside. A well dressed man doesn't mean he is honorable.

The way you treat others and the respect you show for yourself is the evidence of what's inside your heart.

We can't fool God by putting on a show. If you want to have success in faith, overcome an addiction, or improve a relationship... take time out to reflect on how you treat others.

Look at how you treat yourself.  There lies the condition of your heart -- which is what God sees. Let's fight hard to remain pure in heart. You are worth it to God.
