One job - to live others just as Christ first lived us. And yes, there are some people who are hard to love ... maybe both are served by loving them from a distance.

Glorious God, we humbly come to You today to thank You for giving us the opportunity to serve others. Precious Lord, as we go through today give us Your eyes to see those that need help. Allow us to be Your hands and feet today. Guide us to get out of our comfort zone and help those in need. Let us talk to others as You would, and share Your love with them. Help us to be servants to others. Praying in the name of Jesus. Amen.

DAY 182: The Right Man for the Job

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
~ Proverbs 11:25

We can seek status to determine our worth or we can seek service to present ourselves as worthy.

Jesus gave us the standard of life when He taught us that serving others is far more valuable than serving ourselves.

Our heart for God gets tested every time we encounter someone who genuinely needs help. Will we respond or will we make an excuse of "no time, no skill, no tools" ?

Sometimes you may feel like the wrong man for the job.  Perhaps if you are the only one in sight,  you are the right guy for the job.

Your hands, your words, your feet, your ability --- are all tools for God's purpose.  Serving others fills our soul and honors God's command for living.
