Great devotional. Feel like God is speaking to me in today's devo dealing with co-workers. It's so easy to take our focus off God and get caught up in everyday struggles of well as pleasures. My goal is to keep my focus on the prize and my eyes on the Lord in order to do what God designed me to do everyday. Living for Him and being a light. God bless brothers hope y'all have a great day!

Holy Father, we thank You for being the light on this dark world. This world can be such a dark place, but we can always see the light from You. Let us help those in darkness to see Your light though us. Let our actions and words be a light to those in need of Your light. You have given us the tools, let us reach out to others and share Your love. As we do this Father, don't let the world rub off on us. Praying in the name of Jesus. Amen.

DAY 171: Every Day Is Decision Day

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?  ~ 2 Corinthians 6:14

Have you stepped out of the darkness to live in the light of Christ?  Okay, so what about dealing with those "dark" people around you?

As we walk in the light of Christ, we cannot avoid seeing, and hearing, and being with those who choose to live in darkness.  While we are called to be the light in the world, we should take care in how we choose our closest of friends.

Don't misunderstand, we shouldn't close the door on those who choose darkness, but we certainly should never "yoke" ourselves to them if  we want to remain steady and strong in our faith.  The people you "yoke" your life to -- is your choice.

Be advised,  the proper way to save a drowning victim is from a distance with the right equipment. Else you will drown with them if you get too close.  Stay in the light and throw a lifeline to those in the dark around you. Ask God to equip you with the right tool for the right person.
