Summit 1; Day 5: Mature in Christ and don't associate with those when weak or still learning. Stay focused and in touch with fellow believers. If you struggle with sins when you associate with non believers when your intentions are to share the Good News then take a fellow, mature in Spirit believer(s) with you. Father keep our mind and Spirit strong! Remind us to put on your Armor each day

with society pressuring from all sides whether work or just walking down the street or to television. We Christians are swimming in an ocean of sin. Thank the Lord that he provides us with the means to keep our heads above water. I find it hard to keep myself and my home in accordance with his word. I do my best to be a light but at times it seems the deck is stacked against us in this world

Heavenly Father, we come to You today to thank You for always being the light in our lives. There is so much darkness around us. Let us shine our light, from You, so others can see the glory of Your kingdom. Let our light show the path to those in darkness, and let our light always shine toward You. Praying in the name of the light of the world, Jesus Christ. Amen

DAY 171: Light Up The Room With Your Faith

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
~ 2 Corinthians 6:14

Have you stepped out of the darkness to live in the light of Christ?  Okay, so what about dealing with those "dark" people around you?

While we are called to be the light in the world, we should take care in how we choose our closest of friends.

Don't misunderstand, we shouldn't close the door on those who choose darkness, but we certainly should never "yoke" ourselves to them. The people you "yoke" your life to -- is your choice.

Be advised,  the proper way to save a drowning victim is from a distance with the right equipment. Else you will drown with them if you get too close.

Stay in the light and throw a lifeline to those in the dark around you. Ask God to equip you with the right tool for the right person.  Are you yoked to darkness?
