Loving God, Lord of All, we humbly come to the throne of grace to thank You for the things You let us see. While it is amazing to see Your creation everyday, we also need to see the hurt and need in the world. Unfortunately, we can also see the temptations that surround us. Keep our view centered and focused on You and the cross. Let us see through Your eyes, so we see where we are needed to do Your work. Praying in the name of Jesus. Amen

DAY 170: Keeping Your Lens Clean

The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.  ~ Mathew 6:22

The lens you choose to look through shapes your beliefs and your perceptions.  If you see God as a vengeful warrior, it may be hard to find compassion in the world.  If you only see God as an agent of rescue, your world may appear to full of trouble and landmines.

Jesus Christ is the savior of all people - no matter the background, shape, size, color, language, status, nationality, culture, etc.

What you let in through your lens will shape your faith.  Make certain you spend time getting to know the heart of God.  Use the lens of Christ so you can see others the way He sees them - and see the world as an amazing place built for your pleasure.

Keep your lens clean... let in the good light.
