Father, help me develop an effective battle plan for prayer! To not only seek you humbly and reverently but to also talk to as Dad (Papa as my wife so affectionately calls you). Jesus, big brother, remind me to take up my cross daily with you, and to live my life as you modeled as servant leader, Holy Spirit I will be sensitive to your whispers, thank you for your guidance towards great prayers and communication with you all! In Christ's name. Amen

Summit 1; Day 1 (from the Adventure Men part of this app). Father... Dad, thank you for this app and leading me to it. I commit today to the 30 days described in Summit 1 (The first of 14 Summits). Help me to remember that all I do is for your glory and your kingdom... not mine. Give me strength to withstand the temptation to boast in a way that it does not glorify you. In Christ's name, Amen.

i desperatly need communion with Christ daily. confession of sin, asking God to search the deep pockets of my soul, and asking for aggressive removal of sin so hidden from my pride, that only God can remove. God is looking for humble men with repented hearts to use, He is not looking for men with perfect track records. My quiet intimate prayers are used for building my relationship with God, prayers for my brothers and sisters, recognizing the sacrifice Christ made for my sins, and asking daily for the refreshing of the Holy Spirit. The open prayers are to be encouraging to my brothers, and hold me accountable to my obedience to God.

Heavenly Father, we come to you today to thank You for allowing us to always come to You. You Father, will never leave us and always allow us to reach out to You in prayer. Let us continually go to You to praise You, worship You, receive guidance from You, and just keep our relationship with You. All glory to You Father. Amen

This passage and yesterday’s is a tough one to explain to a world that preaches putting your life in social media for the world to see. On Facebook, Instagram etc the world posts everything they do, whether it’s praying, going to church, helping someone, and we are taught to glorify exactly what the lord was asking us not to. Also the other passage about not looking dream and sick when fasting and telling others that we are but do it in private. So how do we keep that in a world so dominated with self preservation and glory for, ourselves and not for Christ? Oh lord please keep us pure in a world so controlled by our own desire to prove who we are. Instead help us live according to YOUR WILL, not our own or the worlds. Much love and respect brothers

Prayer is so essential to me. Prayer from others on my behalf is a big part of what helps get me through the day. I remember when I wad lost and undone then somebody praying mentioned my name . Somebody got a hold of God I've never been the same. Pray one for another. amen

Amen!! It is absolutely amazing how true this is. My Creator had indeed entered into my life in a miraculous way. I hear him so clearly it is sometimes scary..But I adore our relationship and the communication continues to increase..I am constantly playing in my "closet" and God is openly blowing my mind publicly..he is more than able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that I could ever ask of think.. God is so amazing!!

DAY 167: Hearing God, Talking to God

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.  And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.  Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.  Matthew 6:5-8

In the beginning, God created us and walked with us. He spent time together with us. Hanging out, enjoying creation, and being in relationship.

Remember, God didn't change... we did. God didn't hide in the garden... we did.  God doesn't turn his back on us - ever.

Prayer is a conversation with ever-present God. You don't need to speak in formal churchy language.  You don't have to beg and plead.  If you are following Christ -- you are heard.

Just talk to God - and also listen for Him in your spirit.
