Thomas Simmons, I pray for you to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray for His Holy Spirit lights your path when it becomes dark, and God's Angels grant you amazing strength in a world of weaknesses, temptation and sin. You will overcome all things because you have reached out in prayer and your Faith will save you my brother. I pray that you receive wisdom and understanding that we are merely men, but God is Eternal, Almighty, all knowing and merciful and even though we may stumble, we must always turn to God and be renewed in our Faith and Hope in Christ. Nothing is too great for Him and there is nothing we have done that He cannot forgive. Stay in the fight of Faith, Thomas Simmons, through the power and might of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

I am in a season of darkness. I've made some very poor financial decisions and have not been honest with my wife about them. This season has forced me to reflect on my walk with the Lord. Its forces me to look deep into myself and examine myself, my shortcomings and failures. God is showing himself through this. Today's service felt like it was directly at me but in an encouraging way. Almost as God was telling me what I've been doing is correct. I'm praying for a renewed mind, pure mind and heart. I want to build a new legacy for myself and my family. I ask for prayer from these men. For me to continue to grow closer to the Lord, strength to resist the desire to be deceitful and for strength for my marriage. My wife is God sent but it has taken an emotional toll on her and us. Thank you.

Heavenly Father, Sovereign Lord, Your love for me is unfailing, Your forgiveness is eternal. I humbly approach Your throne of grace and mercy, that I do not deserve, I desire. Lord Jesus, I am amazed at Your love for me, that You would step down off Your throne in Heaven and sacrifice Your life for a sinner as defiling as me. You shelter me with confidence in times of trouble, You protect me in times of temptation, You are my guiding light in times of darkness, and You are the strength I need to pull me up when I have fallen to far. through all of this, may i be used to bring encourament to my brothers, that my prayers be heard, that my repentance be purposeful, that my restoration in You be an example for men to follow. it is You Lord who delivers me from these chains and gives me the freedom to be bold, live bold, and love bold. may all of my actions be honoring for You Lord. Amen.

DAY 161: Getting Through Difficult Times

I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me.   ~Psalm 120:1

God is faithful to bless us with beautiful things. He is also faithful to help us through the dark moments.  You wouldn't be human if you didn't experience hard times.  What makes Christian life so magnetic - is our open communication with God through His spirit and his promises to hear our prayers.

If you are walking through a season of darkness, call out to God.  He is faithful to hear you. If all is good for you right now, it's your duty to be the voice, ear, hands, and feet of Christ.  Reach into those dark spaces and become the light for those who are struggling.
