Heavenly Father, everlasting love and unfailing forgiveness. Father hear my prayers, I humbly approach Your throne of grace and mercy. Father thank You for another answered prayer, men desiring You and turning away from the lust of the flesh, to live the life worthy of the sacrifice Christ made for our sins. may our worship be for the Giver and not the gift. Lord satisfy our souls with the filling of the Holy Spirit to dwell deeply in our hearts and minds, guide and lead us in our daily walk with You. may we be filled with Your Word daily. You Lord are more desirable than any image. Lord, help us to say "NO" to sin, lust of the eyes, and images that trigger us. Father my hope is men everywhere who struggle with this addiction to find desire in You Lord. may everything I do and everything I say today Lord bring honor and glory to Your Almighty Name. Amen.

This is just the message I needed today. I've asked my wife and young kids to help me on my journey to a better life. My wife knows of my struggles with lust. My kids just know that daddy does have some problems. I've spent the past two days off of work, but I go back today. Work seems to be one of the places I have the hardest time controlling my eyes. I used to come up with every excuse to blame everyone else, or to excuse my behavior, I just don't want to do that anymore. I am a man of God and it's about time I stand up and fight the good fight. My wife and kids deserve a better father/husband/ and role model. I need prayers my brothers. I need accountability. Thank you.

DAY 159: Guard Your Eyes

Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.  ~ Psalm 119:37

The world doesn't care what it shows you.  There is no responsibility of anyone to respect your values or be mindful of the weakness in your flesh.

The only person in charge of your "gaze" is ... you.  Of course you will see things, but you don't have to seek "those" things to see.

Pray today that God dim the view of those sights which captivate your eyes but soil your soul. Rather, choose to gaze up on the things which bring life and always ask for God's help with every glance.
