I love the analogy Jesus uses here. To be fishers of men. When i go fishing i don’t fret about catching a fish with every cast, i keep casting until a fish is caught. Sometimes i fish in the wrong place or get tangled up or even get skunked, but that doesn’t stop me from fishing again. This is how i need to treat being a fisher of men. Jesus doesn’t call me to wait for just the right moment, he calls me to keep casting, He will do the rest. Thanks so much for these kickstarts, they’re awesome and help focus my day.

Dearest Heavenly Father, Thank you for the gift of Your Word and Your Son. Please help us immerse ourselves in Your Holy Word to guide us to be living examples of You. May we have faith like the early fishermen You called, to leave behind our "old life" and follow You. May we walk by grace and not by sight. I pray that we have opportunity to share Your message today. May the Spirit guide our words to reach someone else today. Please allow us to be the vessel of Your truth and love today. Fill us up to overflow to everyone we encounter today God. Guide our steps on the path You have laid out before us and give us courage to walk in Your light. Please allow us to be a bright, shining light in this world of darkness. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Most Holy Father, Lord of All, we come to You today to thank You for the opportunity You give us every day to share Your love with others. Let us show others Your love by our actions and words. Let Your light shine through us in this dark world. So much need for love in this world, let us be Your hands and feet and bring some light into another’s world. Praying in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I humbly approach Your throne of the source of light that shines in the dark corners of my heart, the source of light that shines upon the world, and the source of light, that all men may be saved from sin. Lord Jesus, fill my heart with the love You have for those You came to save. may I extend forgiveness and grace, and reflect the life you came to save, and live a life worthy of the sacrifice and suffering You had to endure to save us from our sins. Amen.

I too am glad I found this app. I think many Christians think it is only to live a Godly life and be an example. Some Pastor’s I think feel preaching the gospel from the pulpit and live as an example is all they need to do, but I think they too as well as all Christians are commanded to go an tell. It is so great to hear men like you guys expressing how it is to be all of our lifestyles of telling people of the saving Grace of Jesus Christ. All of you have inspired and encouraged me today. Thanks to all of you. Amen

DAY 206: A Good Day For Fishing

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.  “Come, follow me,”Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”    ~ Mark 1: 16-17

Just as Jesus called His disciples to start the march... he's calling you to keep it going. The net has been passed from generation to generation and now rests in your hands.

Will you cast your net today?  Will you be the living representative of Christ in this world... today?  You will never be perfect. You will never know all the answers.  All you have to do is throw the net.

Don't try to fish like anyone else... be yourself.   Just throw the net, man.
